I grew up in London and feel very connected to this wonderful, diverse, historic city. Before training as a counsellor, I gained much life experience working in various fields in the charity sector and central government. After positive experiences of counselling and volunteering, I moved more fully into the charity sector, with my primary focus being on mental health.
As well as working as a counsellor in private practice I also manage a counselling service at a charity in West Norwood. I have experience of counselling for different charities and organisations. I have supervised other counsellors at Cruse Bereavement Care and also led therapeutic workshops for young people affected by childhood adversity at the charity Body and Soul.
I hold a Higher Professional Diploma in Counselling, with Distinction, and am a Accredited Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (membership certificate number 205720). This is the largest professional body for counsellors in the UK. I work to their codes of conduct in terms of ethics, confidentiality and general good practice.
